Desert Trails Parent Union parents brave actions is changing the nation. The Associated Press article appeared in newspapers around the country as parents across America learned about a brave group of parents collected support from an overwhelming majority of parents to change their school. 

Today gives the district 36 days to work with parents and parents won't stop anything short of what is best for kids.

"That's the key reason why she and a band of other parents and guardians are filing a petition Thursday under the state's so-called "parent trigger" law to demand reforms at the K-6 school where just 35 percent of pupils last year tested proficient in reading and 46 percent in math."
